North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal Hailee Chastain is the force that keeps Terpening Wilder Law running. She is the first “face of the Firm” that many meet, and the person in the Firm who both the attorneys and clients rely on to coordinate getting things done. In addition to serving as a counselor and frequent point of contact for clients, and critical resource for research and analysis, Hailee manages all non-legal matters for the Firm and supervises the support staff. A talented communicator, Hailee reflects Terpening Wilder Law’s hallmark traits: empathy towards clients and a meaningful understanding of their situation, passion for protecting clients’ rights under highly adverse circumstances, and the correct balance of toughness, nuance, and kindness necessary for the type of work we do. She provides a unique and valuable perspective on all stages of our litigation, contributing to trial strategy, the discovery process, and briefing alike.
Hailee’s mission includes taking care of the whole client: making sure that criminal defendants are assisted not just with their legal issue, but that they also receive the support and access to resources they need to thrive once they return to society after a period of incarceration.
In addition to being a North Carolina State Bar Certified Paralegal, Hailee is a Notary Public. As well, she obtained a B.A. in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, magna cum laude, and has a Post-Baccalaureate diploma in Paralegal Technology from Central Piedmont Community College.
