Bio: McKensey has spent her entire legal career at Terpening Law, during which time she has grown from the Firm’s legal assistant into her role as the firm’s lead paralegal and office manager. McKensey is the first point of contact that many clients have with the firm, and works diligently to promote our clients’ interests every day, both in court and in the office.
Education: McKensey is dedicated to expanding her experience as a paralegal by continuing her education in the Paralegal Program at Central Piedmont Community College. Here she will further develop her skills to become highly experienced in all litigation, trial preparation, and trial support.
Bio: Originally from Ewa Beach, Hawaii, Tomi received her undergraduate degree in English and American Literature from New York University. Her passion for the written word continued as she concurrently obtained her law and business degrees from Tulane. While in New Orleans, Tomi clerked with the Judiciary Commission of Louisiana, working diligently to provide accurate research and well-reasoned solutions regarding the ethical and procedural rules of practice.
Before joining Terpening Law, Tomi served as Director of Business Operations for a leading patent litigation firm in Washington, DC. In her role, Tomi developed the ability to navigate complex business problems and apply her legal skills in new, unique, and creative ways. Tomi’s background in both business and law allow for her to provide Terpening Law clients with real-world solutions for complex legal issues.
License: Tomi is licensed to practice law in North Carolina and Washington DC and has assisted with litigation of cases nationally.
Bio: Terpening Law is Adalet’s first entry into the field of legal work where she expects to pursue a career by enhancing her experience. Adalet’s past work experience in hospitality has helped develop her interpersonal skills and enabled her to provide exceptional service by finding it important to be an empathetic ear to clients.
